AAS

Our inaugural meeting was on the 8th Nov 2010 and we officially formed in Feb 2011.
AAS holds monthly meetings, often with guest speakers.

All guests are welcome!
No knowledge necessary, just a curious mind.

We are able to provide assistance with setting up your telescope or just helping to find your way around the night sky.

We host discussions on subjects as varied as "finding your way around the sky" to "Dark Energy".

Come along and get a new perspective on the universe in which you live!

The next meeting of the Society will be by Zoom – (the link will be posted separately) on the 22nd July at 7pm.

Do you know your OB associations from your supergiants? If not then this could be the talk for you.  This talk by Nick Busby builds on Keith Moseley’ talk on how star work and gives an overview of the different spectral types and how stars evolve and explains the Hertzsprung Russel diagram.

Everyone welcome – if you wish to join the meeting but do not have a link please email Observing@AbergavennyAS.org.uk
